We love to start out a glutinous holiday with a nice run.  Here's our little trotters pre-race!

We had 3 other families join us this year.  It was so fun to watch the kids run like the wind around the rec center field.  Next the adults (and a crazy barefooted 9-year old) ran a 5K down the bike path.  After the race we headed home to tend to the bird and take a dip in the ocean.  Perfect Thanksgiving Day!

Daddy practice

Cruz found a fallen baby bird today in our backyard.  We searched and searched for the nest but couldn't find it.  Then he remembered seeing one on the other end of the yard so to make the baby "comfortable", Cruz put the bird in the nest and held it all afternoon with gloves on.  The concern he had for this bird was so dear and he was so sad when the bird had to leave.  I know Heavenly Father was proud of the love he showed for this lost bird as his earthly mother was touched by his heart.  Cruz is going to be a wonderful daddy.

Halloween

Halloween was full of fun and candy as usual.  For our ward Halloween party Oshyn and Cruz were Harry Potter peeps, Tyce was Robin and Kai a train conductor.  The warmth of Hawaii made for some last minute changes and even more the day of Halloween.  Oshyn became a basketball player, Cruz a football player and Tyce and Kai became the Hawaiian version of Batman & Robin.  Usually the weather on the mainland is cooling down with soup eating and hot chocolate drinking.  Not here!  Multiple houses handed out ice pops & not one person complained of being remotely cold.  We had a great Halloween.

Menehune 2013

Stoked to the max!  Oshyn just finished his first surf competition this Saturday.  He had a blast and surfed his heart out.  We were impressed that he wanted to compete since he has just started surfing, but he is a brave one!  It was so fun to watch all of the little groms.  They are amazing.

A big fella swam up on our beach with no one else around.

We enjoyed being around him and felt his smooth shell & scaly skin.  When he was ready, off he swam!  A hui hou--Until we meet again!

First Words

Kai is really wanting to talk.  This is so fun for everyone.  He surprised us by saying "gecko" tonight.  I'd have to say this is my first kid to have gecko as one of his first words.  Living in Hawaii, this is so normal to him :)

Unbirthday

Tyce had a very merry unbirthday tonight.  He and Cruz could hardly wait & nobody was sad about dessert.  Cruz even gave him a present (my gift giver--love language guy)!
