General Conference to start it out right, then FHE, sunny beach searches/vine swinging, Peacock flats, girl's day SUP boarding, turtle spotting, cheers to yummy drinks, Waimea Rock jumping, twinners, Jackson Riddle Boss BAPTISM day, up to the Heiau for a special Hawaiian name & necklace tradition, and to top it off SPAM Musubi making plus much much more! We had a blast. It was so very special to have some one on one time with just our two families. We love the Riddles!!

From Kiapoko Place to Kiapoko Street
67-323 Kiapoko Place goodies to remember
*Fun and magical welcome to Hawaii house
*Hear the waves and just walk down a path in the backyard to the beach
*See whales and tow in surfers from back lanai
*Go to sleep and see shooting stars from our bed
We are thankful for the time that we had there but are excited for a new adventure and a new home just down the street!
Moving the tramp with just a roll down the road was helpful (& having a strong man in a high vis shirt always helps!) Looks like the boys are right at home already!
And this guy we found as a little hood ornament

Down and Derby
This was Oshyn's 2nd year of the Pinewood Derby. He designed his car and even got to cut it out with me at scouts. He painted it with Beau with hot green flames. It was a speed demon and was one of the fastest cars in the whole pack. Cruz joined in the fun and worked with Orin on his car. What a fun night!

Weekday Warriors: Diamond Head
After a tortuous trip to the Apple Store (which the boys all hate as you can tell)
we decided to hike Diamond Head!
After a fun hike, followed by about a million stairs, we made it to the top! The boys were champs and we all enjoyed the beautiful views of the city and beyond. A successful hike!

The Joy of Playschool
A group of moms and I decided to start up a Joy School/playschool/preschool for our kiddos. It has been super fun. We study the "Joy of…" different things each week and take turns as moms hosting. This week was our turn! We talked about the Joy of Sharing. We made cookies and shared them with our friends and took some home to our families. Yum!

Field Day & Fun Run
May 12, 2014 I took my little sidekick to watch Oshyn at field day. He NEEDED to wear his rain boots.
What an amazing day for field day!
We could use a little work in the stretching department, but
Oshyn lasted the longest in the run! Beep Beep Beep
and did a ton of push ups.
He was a little disappointed that it wasn't more competitive, but he still busted his butt and killed it in the majority of events. I was happy that we were able to make it out to the high school to watch him.
May 14, 2013 Cruz was pumped to do the Fun Run for the first time this year. He and his friend Kona kept having me take their pictures with each other. Good buddies from basketball & school.
Ms. Vega and Ms. Loebig's first grade class. Before the race, I witnessed Cruz tying his classmates shoe at the fun run--so glad to see him serving others on his own.
Ready-Set-Go! He was off!
and kept going and going and going and going like an energizer bunny. Never stopping until they blew the horn. Cruz pushed it and ran more laps than anyone else in the first grade! Tyce said, "Cruz ran so fast 84 wow!!" (??)
At the end of the fun run the school invited everyone that wanted to to join in and run some laps. Tyce wanted to jump all over that, so we hopped in and started running. When we finished he told me, "I was going so fast and the world was going in slow motion BABY!" Then he proceeded to tell me that he wanted a lei like Cruz got. That was one of those moments when I realized we lived in Hawaii. Our four year old thought that anything that went around your neck qualified for a lei. Although it was a medal that he wanted, I never corrected him. :)
Papa Herzog

Talked to my cousin Tanya and then Papa
Probably best short conversation I ever had with him. He asked how the boys were and I told him they were Crazy--how did you do 4 boys?? He said I joined them! Then he went on to sweetly tell me that they'll grow up fast and be fine men. Some of his speech slurred but it was so nice to go from him just telling me he was ready to go (and die) to having his memory drift back to the time when he too had 4 little boys also. It might have been one of the first times I truly felt connected to him. Very awesome because that is something I always wanted to feel. I hope for his sake that he gets to pass on soon. I am thankful for the prompting I had to call him in the quiet hours of this Friday morning.

PAL Basketball
A little bro that wants to look just like his big bro
Cruz's team: The Sharks
Oshyn's team
Snack. How can I compete with after game "snack" in Hawaii?? Two bags full of McDonald's burgers and a cooler full of more goodies. Full on meals--only in Hawaii.
Love or a Headlock??

Haleiwa Tri
How could I pass up a Tri in my own backyard?? I swam near 'Chocolates', biked around Haleiwa town 3 times and then ran police beach--with more than half of the 3 mi. in sand! Whew! So so much fun. I love triathlons.
