Wow! Does time fly when you're having fun?!
I have some major "Catch-up-isms" to post on here...
Kai has been pretty quiet & isn't talking--yet! Seriously, he's the nicest, sweetest, most chill baby on the planet. Thank you very much Heavenly Father! He's starting to coo and sometimes smile (either in his sleep or at the ceiling--looking at the angels watching over us). I want to smother him with hugs and kisses, but try to refrain from tackling him--since "he's so little!" as Tyce says.
Tyce is a nut job. I mean that in the most loving, motherly way. He reminds me of a mini Eddie Haskell charmer. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to
sell give him to the zoo just about every other day, but I'd also be lying if I said I didn't adore him and the crazy chaos he brings. He runs his mouth nonstop and if I daze out for a minute, he stops and says, "You not talking?" Tyce has been using the word 'actually' a lot. He puts it at the end of sentences, so it sounds hilarious, to us at least. "No, I want some water...actually." Tyce jumps off everything and is very excited and passionate with every movement (which makes me a little nervous at times with a newborn, but its working out). After months of setting my alarm to wake him up in the night to go to the bathroom, something has clicked and he now wakes on his own--great timing with Kainoa here now. Tyce says, "Can I hold you?" when he wants to be held and when you hold him, he will hug you and pat
your back.
Cruz is a technology & lego-a-holic. If he wants me to look up something on the computer, ie. hats, he'll say, "Just go to hats.com". Anything you want, just add a .com to it and you'll find it in his mind. One day he also asked, "How do you spell dot com?" He is obsessed with playing games on my phone when he's allowed and tried to convince me to let him borrow it when he went to Seattle with Beau. When I told him we didn't have another phone and I wanted to be able to talk to people while they were gone he said, "You can just Skype everyone". Ha!

All of the legos he got for his birthday he sat down (that day) and put every single one together, with very little help, if any. He amazes me and luckily is getting more patient with himself. Most of the time he has patience with others, but when Pop Pop came here for his birthday and they were walking the nature trail at Lodi Lake, Pop Pop pushed his buttons good! There is a little lake on the trail called, "Pig's Lake" and Pop Pop kept talking about the Pigs in Pig's Lake. Cruz knows there aren't any pigs in there, but Pop Pop was relentlessly mentioning the pigs. Cruz told him finally, "If you say it again, I'm going to punch you in the face!!" Patience out the window! :)
He is in love with Kai (as are all of the boys) and when he first came home and had the stump from the umbilical cord on his belly button, Cruz kept calling it Kai's "vocal cord" instead of "umbilical cord".
Oshyn is Joe Cool. He is definitely eight. He wears shades, checks himself out in the mirror--because he looks good!, and poses for pictures---ALWAYS flashing a peace sign or thumbs up and if someone is in the picture with him, he'll give them bunny ears. He works hard at everything until he gets it just right, is a numbers guy, and is
really good at anything athletic (don't tell him I said that--he's got confidence coming out his ears :) When he gets an idea in his head he'll make it happen--ie. the homemade zip-line that appeared in our backyard after seeing Madagascar 3 (the trapeze didn't quite work out). Oshyn loves his brothers and drives them crazy--all in a matter of 5 minutes. He came up with a funny math game that he plays with Tyce
(Tyce
always answers--TWO!)
Oshyn: What's 1+1?
Tyce: 2
Oshyn: What's 10-8?
Tyce: 2
Oshyn: What's 1824-1822?
Tyce: 2
Oshyn: What's 1000506-1000504?
Tyce: 2
Oshyn: Wow Tyce!! You're sooo smart!!
I'm sure there'll be more -isms soon! Gotta love life with kiddos.
