First Day

Cruzer--Big 1st Grader
O--4th Grader

Ready to start!
After school--They survived!
The boys were really excited to start school and make friends.  I think they were a tad nervous, but they both handled the big change really well.  They came home excited about the year.  Oshyn and Cruz both really liked their teachers.  They were super pumped that they get to wear slippers to school :)

1st year "home" schooler :)
3rd year "home" schooler :)
Tyce was really excited that this year he will be staying home everyday with me!  He keeps telling people that his playground is the beach.  Not too shabby if you ask me!
(Kai didn't say much but looks like he may survive too!)
First home school activity...Putting these guys to work!
Here's to the beginning of another school year!

MMMmmmmm

You know you may be hitting up the shave ice joints a bit much when your one year old grunts at the sight of icy deliciousness...
I can't say no!

Cruz told me once at Matsumotos, "This is a GOOD lunch!"

Brush 'em

Whenever it's quiet and I don't see Kainoa, I know to look in the bathroom... Turns out this guy likes good oral hygiene!  I never knew he could climb stools, but I'm not surprised.  Don't tell Tyce that Kai's using his toothbrush!

Christmas in July

When the Matson container arrived,
it was truly Christmas in July.  Everyone was so happy to see our "stuff".  The packers let the boys help unwrap everything, so things like, "OH!!  I remember this iron!" were flying out of little peoples mouths left and right.  A few weeks without our things must have felt like years to the boys.  Cruz was perma-grin when the legos were found :)

When EVERY.SINGLE.LITTLE.PIECE. of your life is wrapped in paper,

that equals A LOT of paper...

to jump in!  Joy to their world!!

Kai thought that was quite comical.

Having our things here makes all of this move that much more real.  Out of all that was brought over its funny what we missed the most.  #1 Our own beds #2 Furniture to sit on #3 Legos :)
It truly shows that if you have your family with you, the rest is merely gravy.  And I'm sure that is what we will continue to miss the most over here in paradise...our extended family.

Cruz built a ship...with a container truck on it...with all of our "stuff"!
Yay for Christmas!

Introducing our boys to something VERY important!

Waialua Hale

We took the boys to see our new pad, I mean...hale.
They all said, "I think we're going to like it here!" :)

Here's the kitchen...nice and open space with a view out to the backyard ocean!

Mr. Stoked to be here

This is the view from the beach back to the house.  That's our roof!

After about 5 minutes of being here I had to tell Tyce not to throw coconuts at the house...I never thought I'd say that!  New rules :)

ALOHA!

We made it!  Our first stop was to show the kids da kine Alma Mater--BYU-Hawaii.  It still looks and smells the same.  They are in awe of everything and loved their first meal...at the cafe!  Happy 4th of July.

HNL Bound! and some Aloha-isms

See you later Cali!
After what seemed like a really long time between when we told the kiddos we were moving, the day finally arrived!  It was really hard to say goodbye to such good friends that we have made in Lodi and to our favorite Panttaja's.  The excitement of a new adventure helped our tears dry.

Cruzer "the snoozer"

Tyce "no peep when he sleep"
When he woke up, he asked the flight attendant, "Can I have the drink with an umbrella in it?"  She laughed...
Later he tells me, "I can speak Spanish...ALOOOOHA!"

After 5 or so hours, we landed on Oahu.  Yipeee!  We were fresh out of the plane and in the terminal when Oshyn announces, "I think I'm going to like it here!"
The boys are beyond excited and such good little travelers.  They are at the perfect age to make a move and I feel like it is going to bring our family closer.  We are so lucky to have Beau off for a few more weeks before "real life" starts back up.

Big Boys Big Cuts

We have been blessed that one of our bestest friends is great at cutting hair.  Our whole family got a nice trim before our trip.  Thanks Hilary!
